I really don't understand putting that kind of power into a street car. Now for the track...sure, but suspension, weight, handling first, THEN power if need be (and we all know how slow our stock cars are LOL) On a side note, it still surprises me that modern affordable sports cars claim to be sporty with only 300 HP and the heft they carry. I thought by now we'd be running somewhere north of 500HP stock with monocoque tubs/frames when I was in HS 10 years ago. Still gotta drop some very serious dough for that. Boo.

You won't sell the avant then buy back the sedan and bag it. You. Will. Not.

But ya should!

thanks daz! wish you would post here more often (with pics of your car)

my car has been sitting in my driveway for over a month and finally I had some time and made progress. after an annoying amount of time, I got the turbo out and found out that it's a genuine (or at least stamped k/kkk) k04-015... I definitely didn't expect that at all especially since everything else is completely stock.. the shaft play is terrible compared to the k03s that I have and some of the blades on the turbine are chipped and I have no idea how many miles are on it. I feel weird downgrading to a k03s but whatever. I don't know too much about turbos so I'm not sure what else to look for in the blown k04 if I'm going to try to sell it or maybe even rebuild it first..
I'm replacing all the intercooler piping and turbo inlet pipe with black silicone ebay stuff. fitment isn't as good as oem but I'm not sure how well more expensive brands fit either. the quality seems to be good and pretty much the same as my friend's samco hoses though.
hopefully my car will be running tomorrow.. then finally I'll start working on the bags.

/pointless update

my expectation where to high when i clicked on the thread. lol.
first thing that came to was avant on bags awesome pics to show case it
but no you havent started hahha. on the other hand go to hear the car will be back soon seems like your constantly have problem with them.(your cars) and i dont think youll notice to big of a change in turbo unless if your car is on the wrong tune? otherwise according to every one there isnt a bug difference in ko3 to ko4

sorry. hopefully soon I'll have updates with bagged goodness

finished the turbo replacement today. I never want to do that again. the turbo is a lot louder and it spools up so quickly with the new piping.. almost too quickly. I'm afraid to try a wot, I put the pedal like 2/3 down and all the sudden it shot up to 26psi in 3rd gear at ~2.25 rpm...
I have no cel, no airbag light, no bad lights at all. it's weird.
