well being that low is inevitably going to effect your suspension. control arms, wheel bearings especially. what do you mean by "messed up?"

yeah thats messed up alright lol. I can't say for sure that being low caused that, but i can confidently say that it didn't help. Are you running spacers at all? How old was that control arm?

well the control arms are most likely the original oem ones that were probably never replaced(im the second owner so i really dont kno). so most likely theyre almost 15 years old. and nah im not running any spacers, why do u ask? cuz i was just thinking about buying some to make the rims fit more flush.

Spacers make the car look better, but wear out parts a lot faster. I've been running 20mm spacers in the rear for a few months now and haven't had any problems, but from what people tell me I'll be hearing some noises soon.

However my car is built like a tank therefore my car will never make any squeaks or odd noises, ever.

BTW 24" isn't low, it's lowered .

If you can fit a finger between your wheel and fender, you aren't low!

if you can fit your finger between car and ground you aren't low

wtf what do?!
the car runs really badly.. cel came on p1136 (system too lean). I thought this was most likely due to a vacuum leak somewhere that I still can't find but I still think there is one.. it rides like there's a huge vacuum leak and my turbo isn't doing anything. it'll either really quickly go up to 15psi but barely feel like anything or struggle to go up to any psi. sometimes when the turbo kicks in (according to my gauge) and some other times, a huge cloud of white smoke pours out the exhaust. huge enough to barely be able to see if you were in a car behind me... not sure if a vacuum leak would do this. when I start the car, smoke comes out along with something else that leaves a bad black mark on the ground.. kinda smells like oil. I did just change the oil a week ago with mobil 1 synthetic and it seemed to go smoothly...

so I popped the hood open to search for vacuum leaks and found this..

how does that rod disconnect and how do you put the bottom back in? if you even can.. could that cause my other problems? I'm going back to school tomorrow and I'd much rather take my own car

EDIT : I just realized that rod is not supposed to be connected at the bottom.. so I attached it back at the top but it didn't really make any difference.. I didn't try driving it but smoke still pours out of the exhaust and at the left side of the engine by the turbo... pretty sure a lot of oil is being burnt because I had to add a quart since I changed the oil last week...... bad valves?

Oil coming out of your exhaust + white smoke + burning oil = bad turbo oil seals...Check you pipes and see if there is a lot of oil in there, like the one going from your turbo to your intercooler front bar.

Nick requested I post this picture...

I miss my sedan

edit : it seems like the smoke is coming out of the exhaust manifold.. would a bad/cracked/whatever exhaust manifold cause the car to run like that?
