thanks for your help. I thought the squeaking pedal could be fixed by doing something like that. I'm confused why it started all the sudden but whatever. unless I find something new out, I'm just going to have the car towed to the same place that's done a bunch of work with my sedan. I barely have any time to work on the car. hopefully the problem isn't anything big...

getting closer to purchasing parts for air...

so much want.

still waiting for: uvair aerosport front bags, manual paddle valves, uvair brackets
need to order: electrical wire for the compressors. I think I should have everything then...
need to do: figure out how/if the stuck lower strut mount will come off !!!, shorten front bilsteins, have spacers made and trim dampening controls to allow the universal rear bagged struts to work, finish frame for the management, make air tank look pretty, install, cut some stuff to get lower

everything will be brand new except for the management (I'm questioning the newness of one of the rear struts..). I'll probably start a new thread with lots of detail once I start some progress
so far I have been finding good deals and this is costing me very little. I've spent around $1400 and shouldn't be spending too much more. it's only a front/back setup with the manual valves for now but I'm hoping this will only be temporary. the manual valves only allow 1/4" air line and will be very slow

I also have chrome depos and 55w 8000k ddm hid's and a magnaflow muffler waiting in boxes. one of my cheap yellow bulbs finally blew out so I just ordered some more for $6 shipped on ebay..

Looks like you're almost done collecting the parts.

Are you doing the install your self?

You should either sticker bomb the tank or paint it to match your engine covers

kriptonik, hopefully soon I'll be done collecting the parts.. the spacer for the rears may be hard to get/have made and I'm hoping whoever does my exhaust soon will be able to cut and weld the struts.. I'll probably be doing most of the install myself. I may have a friend and/or my dad help with stuff but nobody with any air experience, unfortunately. it really doesn't seem too difficult to install if I take my time..

CCA4, I've thought of both ideas and I may sticker bomb it. I think I'll either want a carpeted floor with a cutout for the tank like this

or I might just try to completely hide everything including the tank and do a hardwood floor. I'd really like to be able to keep the spare in the back but I'm not sure yet..

B5 Audi, me neither! hopefully I'll have some updates soon

probably the least of your worries now, but that smoke by the turbo after s'foamin it is ok. well I had the same thing and after 4 different turbo swaps I knew for a fact that my mani, turbo, and gaskets weren't faulty.
and btw, sick freaken wagon. oh and if you can get away with it, look into a test pipe right away. Your exhaust won't be too loud even with that mag and test pipe
