I don't hate silver enough to pay for a full paint job when the silver paint is in really good condition
just got off the phone with a guy selling a stock 99.5 1.8t santorin avant quattro manual tan/black interior with 113k on the car and engine. timing belt was replaced with the clutch 13k miles ago. no cel or leaks or anything. carfax available. $3395. sounds too good to be true but I hope it's not

I'm so emotionally attached to my car though I think I'm going to check out the avant tomorrow.. not too sure what I'd do with my current car if I get a new one.. probably let it sit in the driveway until summer when I have time to sell parts but who knows. if I do get the avant it'll probably remain stock for a while. I'll put my headlights on it and stuff, maybe chip it. but probably ride 4x4 probably until I can afford air... I need a job..

^ Bags? If you do get the Avant, that's the only time I will approve it!
I get what you're saying. It's the same for me and the B5. I've spent way too much time, money, sweat, blood, and tears that I don't think it will be worth to sell it (beside that I will never want to let it go).
Why don't you just keep the current car? Perhaps use one of them (either the Avant or the sedan) as a daily and keep one for weekend.

lol yeah I've been wanting an air project for a while and bagyards just realeased a rear set up for quattro b5's (probably wouldn't get bagyards though...$$$). who knows when I could afford any air. even if I do have my car's current problem fixed, I'll still have some other problems. if I would get the avant it seems like I would be able to sell it for more though.. I can't afford to buy and insure the avant and keep my car insured too.. I've been looking at early 90s accords and other hondas for a dd lately.... also I dunno if my parents will want that many cars at home but my brother did just get his license and doesn't have a car yet so I guess he could use one or something... the owner of the avant just listed the car recently and told me he's been getting a lot of calls so it'll probably end up selling before I want it to.

yeah, my dad and I are going to check it out if it's still available tomorrow and buy it if it's good.. I don't have enough money to buy it myself so he's lending me the money now so I won't be modding it until it's paid off. if that happens I guess the plan is to take my car off insurance and have it towed to my house and try to figure out the problem with it when I have time to. if it's not an expensive fix I'll probably have it fixed and sell the avant..
