Never thought of the look when I got mine.

Bought it brand new with the bike attachments. Now I'm gonna start looking for the OEM since my rack pretty much never came off and it's just part of the look now.

Thanks for taking the time and measuring it. The car looks so fresh after the rain!

Do they still carry it on the website? Can't seem to find it.

I'll take those Thules if you decide to go OEM. I just dont want to trust those OEM bars with a canoe.

I think these OEMs would look good with a fairing. I'd need to see fairings on both a thule and OEM side by side to judge of course. Maybe I'll coerce the shop teacher into letting me use the schools CNC machine to make a fairing. Spray on the rings and sell them like hotcakes. ...german engineered hotcakes...

Thanks for the link aldelic. Have you guys had any experience with that website?

I never shopped there before and apparently it's not a trusted site according to Firefox. Should I continue?

kayakman - I'll let you know about the Thule.

Do future mods include new, brightly colored rims on stretched tires or a rusted hood?

Nice car man. Personally, new rims would be far up the to do list for me.

I may be picking up a set of 16" jetta steelies with hubcaps for winter which would probably end up brightly colored, I have a set of 8.5" wheels that I would not paint but if I keep those I'll be stretching the tires. I kinda like the look of my car with my stock 16s though. I'd definitely get a spare hood to rust if these cars could pull off that look

and genuinevwaudiparts.com is a pretty popular and trusted site, they usually have the best prices and I've heard of a lot of people buying from them
