Default Air bag, Brake, ABS lights all on...

We had to completely remove the ABS, and I'm not sure why the Air bag light is on.... I have inspection next month, is there any way to turn these lights off...If I scan it for codes will these let me know what the deal is?

you removed you entire abs system? I doubt you will get the warning lights to go away.

If you scan the airbag you will find out. The ABS wont say anything, since there is nothing there anyway since you took it out. The instrument cluster will say there is no communication to the ABS module though. You can pull the cluster out and remove the ABS light/LED, thats about all you can do for that light. Theres a good chance the airbag light is the connector under the seat and it just needs to be reset.

Looks like removing the LED makes the most sense for the ABS... My dad tried installing his own battery and for some reason it completely fried the ABS computer, so instead of replacing that piece, they removed usage of ABS...don't even need it if you have good tires and drive carefully in the snow.

Can I reset the Air Bag myself? Would I need to use a Data Link Connector to do so..and would it be available at autozone?

Anything other than reading engine codes and some engine blocks requries a VAG COM not just a generic reader. Search it.. Palm pilot setups available for like 200 bux and then theres VAG for a laptop etc etc.
