Default After DV/Intake install, limp mode?

Hey all,

I finally got around to installing my Carbonio intake and Forge 007 DV this evening, everything went smooth for the most part, car started right up after. But I'm only boosting 5-6psi now. I was boosting 15+psi before tonight's work.

Heres the catch, I don't know how the car was tuned. Since I was boosting 15+psi I thought there was no way I wasn't tuned, however the previous owner said he had done no work to the car, everything else was stock.

Could it be limp mode? A boost leak? It holds a very constant 5-6psi in all gears.

On another note, I wasn't able to fit the top cover on the intake, it appears that the hard fuel lines that run from the passenger side to the firewall are in the way. Anyone else run into this problem? I'd rather not have to attempt to trim the cover.

Thanks for the help AF!

Boost leak is possible - you may have damaged a vacuum line during the install of the DV. Also, are you using a new high-flow cotton gauze filter like a k&n? Sometimes they're over oiled and can damage the MAF - I'd look into that too.

Car has to be chipped, 15psi is what most chips run on the ndbw cars. Much higher then the stock 8psi.

Make sure your MAF is plugged in and installed correctly.

I'll go back and check all the connections and make sure I didn't forget to connect something.

I'm using the non oiled filter the carbonio kit comes with. I used to have a K&N filter in the car before this swap and never had a problem.
