Advice with the mirrors...
Hi guys,
I bought this car at the beginning of the summer with the blind-spot mirrors partially brown (as shown on the attached image);
I found on "http://www.ecstuning.com" that I could only replace the mirror and not the whole set (which is going to save me a lot of money in process for other minor fixes) :P
Out of the the choices for just replacing the mirroir, which would be the best option at
"http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-Quattro-1.8T/Exterior/Mirrors/"
since there are so many options..
Thx for your time and cooperation!
My model is an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro 1999.5

The burn on mine was on the backplates that the glass mounts onto - I needed both parts. Check the salvage yards - I replaced my driver mirror with glass off a B5 Passat and the passenger side off a 99 A6 Avant - both fit perfectly and snap in like they're made for the A4.

i had the same problem... just go to a glass shop and drive you car there... once you get ther e explain the problem, then go back to your car, turn the mirror all the way to one side with the motor adjuster on the car, then take a key or flat head screwdriver and pop it off, remove the 2 wires, and have then trace it and cut it out and then remove teh mirror glass from the black plastic piece, and then glue the new one on, pop it back into place and drive away... $20 for each side installed where i went! couldnt be happier with NON BROWN mirrors!
