Acceleration Problem
#11
it all depends how you and previous owners have treated it i.e. warming up properly and cooling down properly. also i would assume that the using conventional oil versus sythenic oil would cause a turbo to go out early. it also depends on how your your oil lines are whether or not they are all gunked up or free flowing. because of these factors there is no "correct" amount of time a turbo will last, but, if you take precautions, it could last the life of the car in theory

The reason I think its the turbo is because I can't even hear it spooling up like I used to, it seems as if just the engine is working. I guess I'll take it to dealership maybe so they can do diagnostics depending on how many legs they'll charge me haha.

well just because the turbo doesnt seem like its working doesnt mean its the turbo not working. it could also be the n75 or there have been instances of peoples wastegate acuators coming undone. it really could be quite a few things

Alright I think i'll need the boost gauge first, cause like you said it can be used to fix problems in the future too. Can someone give me a link for a decent cheap boost gauge and kit. I dont want anything fancy I got stock turbo and plan on keeping it stock.

Tonight I drove the audi and noticed the acceleration was good. I forgot to mention this but it seems like it is good for 1 or 2 days then there is no acceleration for weeks. Maybe it goes in and out of limp mode, I dont know but the fact that its good sometimes is weird.
