A4 2.6 1996 v6 sensor question
Ok, so i'm lucky enough (or not) to have my hands on a good condition one of these. Now I'm aware tht the mods for this model are really almost non existent. Anyway, i was wondering in the thought process of the air intake - of which no cold air kit is available - what is the sensor on top of the airbox on this model? and can it be moved into a custom made cold air intake kit?
from the research i've done, apparently this model doesn't have a MAF sensor so it's not that? (it's on top of the airbox, not on the piping from the box)
any ideas what this is?
(i've searched all over using the part number to no luck either)

thanks for the answers i found this out rather late last night googling again on my hone in bed :P
now er... a second question, i know this unit has a heat sink underneath to obviously help it keep cool and work more efficiently. is it possible to re-site it anywhere that's ok to move it to? if that were to be the case then i could fit a cold air kt to the car, if not then i can't. i understand this is probably the reason one isn't made for this model, but i also believe in people who've tried these thins out and found out if it truly is possible or not. So, yeah. Rather than screwing thins up in a est, is there anyone who's tried this or know of if it's been done and works ok?
I noticed in a guide on a blog for a turbo model, that the same ICM unit is moved from the airbox same position as mine, and just left cable tied in the compartment where the airbox was kind of just in mid air. but the blog that was on doesn't get back and say if it was successful or not.
thanks again, it's very much appreciated
