sorry, new to audis, but what is this air box mod you guys are talking about and if it really noticeable or affective?

It's effective and noticeable in making more noise, but not power.

What about the AFE stage 2 intake? Have you heard anything on that?

This. No intake will add power. Most will rob power. Factory airbox is good upto 400hp
