Default A4 1.8t 97 Burning Oil

Hi all, My 1.8t has started to burn alot of oil. i striped it out & intake from turbo to air filter was very wet with new engine oil, took off intercooler & pipes & about 2 pints of oil came out. cleaned up put back to geather still the same. ticking over doesnt smoke But rev it up & it pours oil out the exhaust, ( Dipping oil frol exhaust tail pipe.) Bought a new turbo as i was told that was the problem, but still the same. i noticed that their is alot of oil in breather pipes from engine to inlet pipe, shold their be any sort of baffle it the breather system.

stop replacing random parts without figuring out where the oil is coming from.

can you clear up your description of the problem, alot of what you said is either misspelled or out of order or without punctuation and it doesnt make sense.

do a compression/leak down test. you probably blew some piston rings and have some massive blow by that dumps all the oil out the PCV system into the intake. if oil is pouring out the exhaust, your o2 sensors and cat converter will be destroyed by now. your spark plugs are probably garbage too.

Done a compression test, all ok?? when i drive it, it has no power but you can hear the turbo boosting up. with alot of smoke comeing out of the exhaust. & the oil is dripping out of the exhaust,
iv been looking into the breather set up, & cant see any sort of baffle. What does PCV mean.
im a ford man & noing on a ford / most engines they have some sort of baffle in the breather system. from the intake pipe breather to going into the block i cant see anything to stop oil going through.

STOP DRIVING IT. if you have QUARTS of oil pouring out of it like you say, oil pouring out of the exhaust, you are only making it worse by driving it around. dont even turn the car on until you fix the problem. this isnt a 1980s ford engine that will keep running until it physically ceases, this is a highly tuned german engine. if its not running very good, you can do massive amounts of damage by driving it when its broken, which you no doubt have done already.

what were the numbers from the compression tests on each cylender?

the PCV system is that thin black aluminum pipe that runs from that pancake valve on the turbo intake pipe all the way around the back of the engine to under the intake mani. if the crankcase gets pressurized by some blown rings that would eject a ton of oil thru this pipe.

That is wear i think its comeing from, i didnt write them down, they were all around 125 psi. A mate of mine has a engine that he had in his a4, before it was smashed up. only differance is, that iv got a large port head & his is a small port head, But his engine number is a AEB same as mine, will my head swap over ok. he only wants £100 for it as hes sold Turbo & both manifolds. also the pancake valve on intake pipe, is it ment to be hollow as mine is, or should their be some sort of mesh in it. Thanks for your help & time. Rich

yeah, definitely stop driving it around. i dunno if its possible that his turbo cracked or something and the oil running into the turbo is just getting blown into everything. just throwing **** out there. i mean. intercooler, exhaust. sounds likely that it is coming from it
