cloth sport seats are the best, especially if they are heated. I must have the same 97 Special Edition 1.8T! Lets start a sub-forum! I kidding, but not about the awesome seats.

Look in your spare tire well for the options sticker and run them through this decoder and let us know what you got. I guess if theres something special it should show up there. I found another option build sheet stuck in the springs of the rear seat but it was written in German.

WOOHOO! I just used the link that Redrum1 posted and found out i have SPORT SUSPENSION!!! I knew my car looked lower than most stock ones... I'm so happy. I just bought some new wheels and tires and though for sure I'd have to drop all my extra cash on new shocks/coilovers. DAmn I'm so happy right now.

nope, he was living in arizona at the time he bought it, and drove to utah to pick it up. There's a stamp in the front of the service book that says "Ken Gariff Motors Provo,Utah Special Pickup/Service Delivery"
He was a really honest guy that I bought it from. In his mid 50's. He almost cried when I pulled the car out of his driveway, he loved that thing...
