Both of the rear windows on my a4 refuse to roll up. Both will roll down using master control and rear switches but don't roll up. I've managed to get my rear right side window up and unplugged but the other side won't move. Now I'm having to drive it with the window down everywhere I go wondering who is going to break in and steal my stuff. Is there a way I can get the window up manually? At least then I could drive it without wondering what I might see when I leave to go home. Rain is getting all over my seats and its starting to aggravate me. Someone please give me a quick fix until I can get new motors or regulators.

 

Without properly fixing the windows first, I can't think of anything right off that would keep people from being able to break into your car. However, to keep the rain and whatnot out, I would take some plastic sheeting or a tarp of some type, cut it to fit the shape of the window and tape to the body of the car. That should keep the rain out.

Just curious, what exactly broke? I ask because I had a similar issue with one of my rear windows. Luckily, it wouldn't roll down from the fully closed position.

 

The only thing that broke was a plastic wheel thingy at the top of the door. Little white one that the window cable uses to stay on track. Is there a way I can get the window up? All I need is that one window to go up.

 

I would assume you can take the inside door panel off and push the window up and then jam/block it up with a piece of wood.
