I'm looking for some rubber floor mats for my 98 B5.

I have been told that these only fit B5's 99.5 and up. Apparently the sizes are completely different.

Can anyone confirm that there is a difference between 98.5 and 99.5 floor mat size and hardware pattern? I'm really having a difficult time believing this.

Yea I think it's the position of the hold downs. I have 99.5+ mats in my 98 and they fit fine.

 

Ah, what an annoying difference. I've had no luck finding those made for 98.5's.

I think I'll grab them anyway. I can live with them not being secured. Makes for easier vacuuming, I suppose.

I don't think the rubber mats secure down so I wouldn't worry about it.

 

i have all weather mats from a b6 that were given to me and they fit perfectly but the holes dont line up...no big deal i guess

 

I have the stock all weather mats and they do have the holes.
