Pull your valve covers (you'll need new gaskets) and use the cam timing marks by the cam chain tensioners. Refer to the DIY on changing the cam chain tensioner to see pictures. You could eyeball it by the oval brackets on the exhaust cam sprockets but you're better off playing it safe and using the cam timing indicators in the heads to know you have it right.

I have the ale covers off where are the timing marks at this point I don't see no makes on the cam sprockets or under the valves covers also I was told something like if the cams go out of time you have to spin them 4 times to be right again has anyone heard of this and 1 other problem I ran across today I tried to line the crank up with the timing mark and I turn the crank 1 way and it stop 2" be4 the mark and same when I turn the crank the other way is this cause of the cams being out of time.

Go to the DIY area and check the procedure I mentioned. It will show you how to judge cam timing. As for the crank not going any farther, it's because the cams aren't turning with it, they're stationary. The stop is because pistons are hitting valves.
