'98 A4 Quattro 1.8t CEL Codes P1136*-P0304*-P1476*
I finally ran down to autozone to get CEL readings and im not surprised that it gave me these codes. I would like some advice on how to go about eliminating these errors and maybe tips on how to convince my wife that it needs an aftermarket intake/exhaust
Thanks in advance guys, I'm looking forward to read what you have to say about this.

I also have a TON of service records and repair invoices complete with everything from timing job invoice to all scheduled oil change records.
Ill post a list of all past services and repairs to make it more simple for those of you who care to join me in my quest to save this car's life.
Thanks again everyone for taking your time to read this and I hope to see what you have to say about this.

FYI, keep all the information in ONE thread. I believe this is your third about the same problem. second, it is common courtesy when posting codes to also post what they mean.
p1136-fuel trim too rich, bank 1
p0304- cylinder 4 misfire
p1476- evap system leak detection pump, low vacuum
the first two concern me. the last doesnt really matter, but you probably have a hose on your evap system that is broken. to help with your misfire, i want you to take the coilpack out of cylinder 4 (the one closest to the firwall) and put it in cylinder 1 (closest to the front bumper. then clear your codes using the scanner, but if you dont have one you can delete them by taking the negative cable off the battery for a couple minutes. if you do it that way, youll probably need your radio code and youll have to do a throttle body adaption by turing the key to the on position until the humming from the throttleboy stops, about a minute. then drive around and post the new codes that come up. im guessing the new code will be p0301. if not, your coil packs are good

thank you ill switch the coil packs tomorrow after oil change, btw i want to clean my air filter as well as everything else under the hood because it is COMPLETELY FILTHY and i was concerned about electronics and hoses and that sort of thing, so tips on what to use what to clean what not to clean would be very helpful. thank you.

I also have some questions about the Race/Cat Delete Pipe Kit
(Audi B5 A4 Quattro 1.8T > Engine > Mechanical > ES#1844140 B5 1.8T Race/Cat Delete Pipe Kit - ATP-VVW-138)
I was wondering if this will bolt directly onto the existing system(take the old cat off of course) and if so, should i be concerned about it doing any harm to anything?
i would ultimately want to install a custom 3" full kit.
