98 or 98.5?

Default 98 or 98.5?
How can I tell if I have a 98 or 98.5? By looking up my vin I have a 98, but when I look at the tails I have are 98.5. What do I have to do to figure out if I HAVE a 98 or 98.5?

I don't think there were any Early 98 1.8T's. So you've got a 98.5 if your tails are 98.5-99 style. I don't know the exact vin switch #'s

I see now by the website that it doesn't show a 98 for the 1.8t, but just the 98.5. When I look up my vin will it even say 98.5 or just 98?

I didnt know there was a 98.5...i thought it was only a 99.5?
