Default 98 2.8 QM significant loss in power

So I was driving uphill when my car began chugging, the check engine light was flashing, lost almost all power and pressing the pedal only made the RPM drop til it died. Managed to turn around and roll in neutral down the hill and cranked the car on level ground. Seemed to run fine afterwards, but i didnt have any hills to climb. Haven't been able to check the codes yet, but I will tomorrow. Any ideas on what could be the cause of this? My gut is telling me it has to do with the A/F ratio, likely something to do with the fuel system. 130k, recent chip tune about 2 weeks ago, changed the oil and filter 5 days ago, oil doesn't smell weird, no exhaust color, only known codes were failed secondary O2s.

I'm pretty confident that its not, but wanted to make sure I covered anything that could be related. I'm more worried that its the fuel pump honestly, anyone know the symptoms?
