97 A4 1.8t not starting
My Car: 1997 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro Automatic 109k miles
Problem: Car turns but is not starting. The car is my daily driver. It sat for the weekend while I drove a different car and when I hopped in on monday morning to go to work, the problem started. No previous hints of problems prior. Sounds really normal trying to start.
Heres what i've done so far...
- No codes with a standard OBDII reader.
- Plenty of fuel and oil is where it should be.
- Checked the battery and it's fine. Battery is only about 2 years old.
- I pulled the fuel line right before the fuel rail. Found good pressure and flows well.
- Bench tested the ignition control module and it's pushing power to all of the 4 pins.
- Checked for spark by hearing the arc from the coil to the top of the plug and it's very healthy.
- Didn't replace the Camshaft Position Sensor but found that it is getting power to it.
Really scratching my head on this one. I don't know what to do next. It has fuel and the spark plugs are firing but the car does not even sputter. I really need this car to travel in the next two days. I just got on vacation and now my car decided that I should stay home. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
