Hello my a4 window fell off the track I know some of you have experience with this. I removed the door panel and I found a green broken clip that seems to attatch to the regulator. Can I just replace the broken clip? Or do I have to remove and replace the entire regulator?

 

I had this same problem in my car. I have seen just the clips on ebay, but everyy shop or store i went to told me the whole regulator must be replaced. Most likely to make money. But if you can find the clips im sure it can be done. I replaced my regulator with aftermarket and now when i roll the window up it will roll itself down sometimes.

If so, I recommend a complete new regulator. It will save you a lot of headaches and repeat failures. Usually when the guide clip fails, the cable is shot too or the pulleys are close behind.

 

Hello no the clips are larger blue clips but your probably right I called Audi and they said to replace the entire regulator. The clips I found were on eBay for around 4 bucks a piece.

 

I agree with them. Replace the whole regulator.
