5th battery in 5 months...
Hi guys!
This forum is really great, and some of you know your stuff! I had the famous Neutral Switch error in my 97 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, and now that was fixed, i keep getting an error wth my Audi..
I cant take it anymore [:@]! ive done so many changes i dont know why there is a mistake.
The battery is brand new, and i got the Alternator rebuild. They are both working fine, yet the battery keeps dying. I dont know if it's overcharging or is something draining it...
When im driving, it is recharging... i just dont get with it wont start sometimes.
I checked the other posts, but nothing seems to match. Maybe the throttle body?
Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

RE: 5th battery in 5 months...
Does it always crank? Does it crank slowly? How are your cables?
If your cables are rotted, which they do from the inside out, you'll get a poor connection and your car will have a hard time starting and charging.
If you're running off of your battery because your alternator is not maintaining its charge, your battery will be ruined.
You can have a charging system test done at most autoparts store. I know Checkers/Schucks/Kragens/Murrays does them, and I assume Autozone and O'Reillys do them as well.
