Hey guys! Well I have a 99.5 A4 1.8TQ Tip that has roughly 154,xxxx miles on the motor. I started to have problems when the car would stutter and the idle would bounce up and down...sometimes down to 0 and the engine would die. I tried to use my Vag-com and also a obd II reader but both would say "no link"...so I can't pull any codes. After no luck, I pulled the stock k03 turbo out and found out that it was blown and thought is the cause of all the problems. So, I ordered a new oem k03 turbo and installed it with new oil lines/etc...soon after i heard a drilling sound coming from the new turbo which means its also gone. I contacted the company that I purchase the k03 turbo from and they sent me a replacement k04 turbo(free upgrade) which i installed today and found out its also leaking fluid because you can see signs of liquid in between the turbo and cat gasket and thick white smoke coming from the exhaust. Whats wrong with my car and why is it destroying every turbo I put on it?

fyi: I already installed brand new: 710n dv, spark plugs, turbo oil feed and return lines, air timp sensor, water temp sensor, pancake valve, air flow sensor, oil, and Diverter Check Valve cut off.

 

Get rid of your ebay turbo...this is what they do.....go buy a borg/warner k04-15 and you will love it over your k03
