The turbo looked to spool fairly quick wit the 2.0 setup which I have been planning on going with. The K04 setup is just for fun till I make my mind up. I actually have a few other turbos to choose from. One being the billet 20G and the other being 6031 and Garrett 57 trim. I was unaware that comp makes extended tip compressors which is a huge plus. Ultimately I want a setup that will make 400awhp atleast with the best spool possible. I think that makes the GT3071R a perfect fit.
I am also debating the 1.8 or 2.0. To my knowledge with the AEB you can swap in rods and make 400awhp. Considering the crank pistons, and machine work doing a 2.0 setup will run an additional $1,000 or very close.
Do you have a link on the comp extended tip setup? Also which 2.0 crank are you using? WHat pistons are you using? Thanks

Extended Tip Series
I have the ABA crank and JE 83mm 8.5:1 pistons in my 058 block. If you don't want to do all the extra work or get the ABA crank you can always just bore the motor out to 83mm with a set of aftermarket rods and that will get you 1.9 liter.
