2004 A4 Quattro seems overly sensitve to road bumps and other issues
Hi,
I've been a member for awhile, but don't think I have posted that often. I purchased an 2004 A4 Quattro, last May(2008) in what I thought was really good condition. It was shiny, looked like it was garaged kept as there were virtually no scratches on it. Rode great for a while and then all **** started hitting the fan.
So far within 8 months of owning the car the following repairs were made all by Audi.
1) Had to have front and back brakes replaced within 6 months.. ( I was prepared for this but not the price tag)
2) fuel pump replaced (was causing large vibrating/humming noise throughout the vehicle)
3) Engine Coil.. was driving one day, and car would not move out 3rd gear..and kept shaking.. had to have it towed to Audi, where they replaced one of the coils and of course suggested some other outrageously priced service package which I declined.
4) Now I am driving, and it seems like I feel every little bump in the road. The car bounces up even when I am driving on the highway. Also, acceleration seems rough after 60 mph. I would take it back to Audi, but it seems like every time I do something else goes wrong. Does anyone know what this "bouncing" may be? Thanks.
