Default 2001 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro ECM Question

Can someone please give me a list of compatible ECM's that will work for my 1.8t quattro? I know for other cars it had to be pretty specific (such as same transmission, same drive trane, same engine(duh), etc), but I am looking to replace mine and I dont know what is safe to replace it with. It would be especcialy helpful if you give the part numbers as well. Thank you for your help. I am currently searching, but i am posting this just incase my search is inconclusive.

Thanks

4B0 906 018 CH is one of the part numbers I found. Will anything else work?

if you have a 2001 1.8T you should have a ATW engine code.
jsut find a 2000-2001 ecm for an ATW with same trans code but i dont know your trans code.

why are you replacing your ECM?

2001 = AWM

Trans code isn't important, but manual/automatic is. The ECU (or ECM, whichever way you'd like to call it) can be recoded in VAG-COM between manual and automatic transmissions with relative ease.

2001-2001.5 would be a 018CH and a 018M ECU. There might also be a few Passat ECU's that work too.
The 018M came in the early 2001 and the 018CH for the 2001.5.

The 2000 ATW came with a 018P ECU for the manual transmission(FWD and Quattor) and a 018Q for the Tip, the 2000 is one of the only years that you can not switch those 2 ECU's into the other car and can not be recoded to work in the other. Even the tunes for the 018P wont work in the 018Q ECU.

I'm replacing the ecm because I am getting a code that says something along the lines of no communication. Said most probable reason was ecm or cps.
