You can do the VC seals without taking anything out except the air box. The cam seal job requires you to pull the bumper, various pulleys/tensioners, timing belt, housing, etc. A tool rental is recommended as well, I got mine from BlauParts (twice).

You can do the VC gaskets in an hour or so, depending on how much cleaning of the gasket surfaces and old RTV you have to get out. The timing belt and cam seal job will take all day, maybe 6-8 hours if you don't have any problems.

These times are in my experience only, others may have done better.
