the bmw isnt going to handle better if your audi is in good maintence wise and is in good conditon i would keep it and just put some coilovers and stiffen up the rest of the suspension like mike said and have a dream handling car

Out of the box, I believe the 330i will handle better. It is a bit lighter, has a bit more HP and therefore also a bit faster. The AWD in this generation of Audi is front biased, so the RWD BMW will handle better, no doubt about that.
A lot of the issues can be corrected on the A4, but again, I have no idea what you want the car for. I see brutal Canadian winters and my car is a daily so I need AWD, and for cars around that year, you can't beat Audi's AWD.
I'm surprised you just bought a car without checking out the competition, or test driving cars in the same category? Have you decided what you wanted out of a car or did you just impulse buy?

That's pretty vague. What are your goals?

Because the only FWD biased AWD Audi is the TT.

Oops, I mispoke there. What I meant to say is that the B5 generation of Quattro (IV) is more front biased than the newer versions of Quattro (V). B5 isn't front biased, the center diff is 50/50 IIRC. Newer is 40/60. My thinking was comparing A4s, not even thinking of Haldex system. Sorry for the confusion. Obviously, an AWD vehicle does have more front bias than a RWD (it has none), but I didn't mean to imply it was like a FWD vehicle.

Yes the newer versions are slightly more rear biased, but I bet you couldn't tell the difference while driving one vs driving the B5.
I just drove in a B8 S4 and B8 A4, I didn't feel the difference at all. Only difference I noticed is that on the B8's you have to push the key in or push a button to start them and push/pull a damn button to turn on/off the parking brake. lol
