Default 2001 a4 1.8t, drivers rear door help!!!!!!!!!

some time ago the pulley in my window motor to my drivers side rear door shattered upon closing the door, hence the window fell down, to temp fix this before i could get a new pulley or motor or frame assembly i shimmed the window up with a piece of wood, works quite well actually and just cant use the window!!! however now the door lock is not working and the door is stuck locked or shut, you can hear the lock motor work but the handles on the inside and out do not work, how can i fix this if i cannot get the door open from the inside or out?

I would say take the door panel off, but if you are not able to open the door at all, that won't really work. Can you manually pull up the lock pin and pull the door handle at the same time? That may help you get the door open.

The rod is off the latch assembly. You'll need to remove the panel from the inside to gain access.

Finesse.

It's tricky, but it can be done. Remove the base of the rear seat, remove the screws in the door panel that you can see, and lift off the panel as best as you can. You'll have to bend the door panel moore than you'd like, but you might be able to snake your hands under there and hook it back on.

You can't open the door from the inside OR the outside, correct? If so, you'll have to open it from the inside of the door lock, or at least try to hook the rod back on.
