Default MINI UPDATE (Body Work)

So i finally got around to replacing damaged drivers side fender that PO must have gotten into an accident with. Also there was some sun damage on top part of fender. THe total job took 1 day of prep work on new fender between scuffing, priming, painting, drying. Then literally 1 day of taking off old fender that was a PITA between rusty top side Torx bolts (nothing a hammer and some elbow grease didnt fix ), inspections plates, safety plates, oddly placed bolts and headlight assembly. I ended up replacing rusty torx bits with 10mm american.

Here is a picture of fender on. Sun damage but the real damage was on bottom of fender where it was crushed in. Replaced washer fluid pump and cleaned up metal flakes PO must have never cared to check damage from crash. Also notice how the headlight is not flush with fender

Anyway i will post a side profile picture of car when i have a minute. Also i need suggestions should i repaint hood or go with an invader CF hood? Also next project will be interior and summer wheels !

Hey man is that a strut brace on the inside of your engine bay its red and goes over the battery? Btw nice car man i have a 98 2.8 as well its getting there mods wise i had to do a lot of maintenance work before i started the mods :/. I do have it on Raceland coils with 15mm spacers, clear corners, and a K&N short ram intake. Custom exhaust and Magnaflow muffler coming soon!

Thanks bro...yeah that is indeed a strut tower brace. HOw do you like those raceland coils? I have heard mixed reviews about them...but yeah if you look on first page of my thread i too went through some MAJOR maintenance on my ride and its NON stop : / but in between her acting up i have managed to a get a few mods/upgrades...anyway good luck on your ride!

I have had them on for about a month now and i love them. They ride real nice for what you pay for and if your looking for stance they go pretty damn low. I would recommend getting new upper strut mounts, thats what i did and i feel like it really made a difference compared to using the old ones. The old ones tend to squeak but replacing them takes that away. And nice man ill have to check that out on the first page. Thanks and good luck with your ride
