Hi, thought the Audi 170 hp 1.8's were only the 2001's, but when i called the dealer in reference to the 2000 he had for sale, he claimed it also had a 170 hp engine like the 2001, more than likely hes a f$ing moron and has no clue about the Audi, but thought i would check with the experts first, and ecu numbers or any info regarding this would be great, thanks guys

 

No, the 2000 a4 had a k03 and 2001 had a k03s which is why it has 20hp more

Different port size that works more efficiently with the turbo. Also has variable valve timing.

 

exactly correct, actually just got off the phone with Audi of America, and they stated no way any 00 could be 170 stock, so dealer is a dumb a$$ like i figured, maybe it will land me a better deal now, its a 00 with 68k for 8500, 5spd black leather, so fingers crossed, i will have another audi soon, fina friekinly, this toyota camry just aint cuttin it when you had a A6 2.7t, before it lol

the 2.7 had been wrecked prior to me owning it, and almost a year later it started to have alot of problems when i was begginning to mod it out, plus 350 miles on a 90 dollar tank puts a pinch in the pocket haha, drive it like you stole it.
