2.8 Springs on 1.8T?

obviously there's going to be a difference between quattro and FWD, but assuming you've taken that into account, the front spring rates on a 2.8 are a bit stiffer than that of a 1.8 to account for the extra weight. Being aftermarket, I can only assume they'd have to be lower than your stockers, but its hard to say how much. Best to just stick to springs/struts/coilovers designed for your car.

I have been running Intrax S4 springs on my A4 1.8t for almost 9 years now. They are different and when you put aftermarket 2.8/S4 springs on the 1.8t the front of the car sits about 1" higher then it would on the 2.8/S4. To offset this you can have a groove cut into the shock body about 1" lower or get a shock that already has adjustment grooves in it.
