Best way to get around that then, would be to use a drop-in panel filter for the airbox (I'd think SOMEONE makes one), and do the airbox mod listed in the DIY section of the forum to open up the area under the filter for fresh air intake. Other than that, you'd have to cut out the MAF from the airbox and then find a way to secure the cone filter onto it.

well its an 2.6 do a google search. on my air filter box the air flow meter is molded on to the box wers the 2.8 v6 its a pipe so u can connect an induction kit to it is ther a way i can get round it
only if they make a maf flange kit for the intake. This will let you pull the sensor from the housing and then install it in the intake.

Not sure if it'd work or not, but you could try and source a 2.8 MAF and use that along with the intake kit. I don't know if they're interchangeable, but you may find that a 2.8L MAF of the same model year as your 2.6 would work. Worth checking on anyhow.

It will depend on the style of flange and diam of the tubing.

Think atpturbo.com sells the flange kits

i dont know if your maf looks the same as mine but if it is here's a link for an adapter
http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=583

and then i also found this one that lists it fits all 96-04 vw/audi but it looks different. i would call them up and see whats up with that.
