1998 Tiptronic a4 1.8 shuddering when cornering
Hello folks,
My son has a 98 a4 1.8 auto quattro with a shuddering problem at low speed. It happens when you turn in parking lots at low speeds, and is VERY noticeable, and is NOT normal.
The best way I can describe it is like a 4 wheel drive truck in 4 wheel on pavement. I'm thinking differential as I had the same sort of symptoms in an e500 4matic. Anyone have any ideas? Diff fluid changes? I understand there is a front, center and rear diff? Thanks for your insight in advance!

Being a 98, changing transmission and diff fluid isn't a bad idea at all. Check the condition of all the CV joints, inner and outer, front and rear, as well. Parking lot speeds tend to lend themselves to sharper turns than on-road turns, and a worn or binding joint could cause the issue.
