Anyways what you will need to do is hook up a vagcom cable and run the car for code's see what pop up i had experience's with my 2.8 where it wouldnt start for 5mins come back car would start back up others on this forum say when they drive there 2.8 long distance its hard to start back up and BTW where did this smoke come from the exhaust?

smoke was coming throught the ac vents........and no check enigine light turns on......when i turn the key to start nothing happenes no lights no sound nothing.......im new to these cars and just bought this.............i appretiate everyone aboves inoput....very thankfull..........going to check all fluid this morning and will post again.....please keep the helpful tips and advice comin....thank you all again!!!!!!

WHAT COMPLETE NOOB HERE^^^^ if he had no oil his engine would be blown WOW and how are engine lights are gonna come up with the engine isnt running???

I may be a NOOB!! but I think that the computer throws the codes, not the engine itself. So unless he has complete PCM failure (Or a dead battery), you can still get codes. How would a VAGCOM get them? From the PCM or a running engine? Just trying to drink from the fountain of knowledge you provide.
