Default 17" S4 wheels for snow?

Hello Audiforums I recently just got a 99.5 quattro A4 b5..this is my first audi so i am new to all this.. Im in need of new wheels and tires the car came with 18" Moda and its not doing so good right now in ohio winter weather..sliding EVERYWHERE.. im looking for a used set of wheels for winter setup and i ran into 17" s4 with all season for sale. I wanted to know if anyone has this setup for winter? Maybe put snow tires on? I would prefer 15's or 16's for winter set up but having a hard time finding a set. What would you guys recommend

I've done alot of search on here, audizine, and audiworld . Havent found a post. sorry if this is a double post

Welcome to the forum!
Read the noob stickies on the top.

(on topic)
For the snow I just run the stock 16"s with 225/60/16 all seasons and it usually does the trick.
Try searching allofcraigs.com and type in "5x112 16" and you should come up with a mess of things.

I'd say go for a smaller rim just because the tires will be cheaper and they dont need to look cool in the winter, nobody does.

But if youre dealing with more ice than I am for some reason the green diamond tires seem to be really popular on the forum.

Where in ohio are you? I'm in pickerington but spend a lot of time in the columbus area. It has been hella icy round here lol.
Are you on columbus racing as well?

Thanks for the quick respond and searching tip Cody. I'm currently living in Akron which is about a 2 hour drive to Columbus. The weather was really bad tonight i was going 15mph in the 65 and still sliding! I hear everyone has a blast driving their quattro in snow but for me i just couldnt wait to get home.

Dude, if you looking for Winter Wheels, and, as Cody suggested, dont mind not having something that looks 'good', then these are for you! Brand new!

I wouldnt mind having steelies for winter setup but those are going for $160 without tires.. snow tires around $100+each? thats $560 already without shipping, mounting etc. The used ones seem like they have decent life in them but im not 100% sure until the guy emails me back

Where did you find the 4 steelies for $25each @ Midniteoyl?
