Speedtuning chip is a good mod on the 2.8. I drove Hiwords' car a few years ago, before and after he got it. Peak gain is small (maybe 5hp or so) but midrange gains probably 15lbs of torque - you can feel it. It smooths out the flat spot around 3k RPM, deletes the speed limiter, and I believe raises redline to around 7k. It's worth it.

Are you going to go for it Jeremy?

I'm debating right now.. I've got lot's of maintenance stuff to take care of first. Tires for 600-700, trans mounts 100-120, trans fluid 50, brake fluid & power bleeder 100, etc. While I'm in there I might as well replace the brake lines with some stainless steel lines..

UGH.. I just want a little more power though..

Unfortunately no. I need the car daily, and since the group buy was announced I've been watching the yard for 30v ECUs both for vgo and myself to use as stand-ins while ours got flashed and haven't had any luck. Had this happened earlier I'd have sent it out while I was on vacation back in April but it wasn't to be, this time anyhow.

Yeah I would've put the word out to join in but that money is better spent on other things right now, like a CV rebuild kit and tires.
