I was wondering the same thing. Nice post, now I know my car is sounding normal also.

Using premium fuel? Sounds pretty normal though. Run half a can of seafoam through one of the vac lines on the intake manifold, and put the other half in the gas tank for peace of mind if it makes you feel better.

Thanks, and yes I do use 91 octane gasoline everytime I fill up. Also I might try the seafoam. . .the car does have 182,000 miles right now. Does anyone have a FAQ or anything on how to use the seafoam? I have never even heard of it before having my Audi.

yeah my friend has a 1.8t that has a ticking noise to not really sure what it is.

See, I'd always been told that you couldn't use seafoam/"3-part fuel system cleaners"/etc. with turbocharged engines.

I have never noticed an ill-effect from seafoam. And I am turbo. And I have never heard of anyone having trouble on turbo engines afterwards either. It is highly recomended. If it has been a while, you can noticeably feel gains. I vote do it.
