Default 1.8t audi engine overhaul

hey does anyone know if an 2000 1.8t atw will fit in my 97 audi which had a 1.8t aeb engine.....need help

i dont think so, atw has a different wiring harness, ecu, throttle body, head, im almost positive it has a map sensor, and the DV is in a different location. your best bet would be to find another aeb

are those wheels in your sig photoshopped on?

ATW is one of those engines that is a little different than most other 1.8s. I know - I have one.

nope AEB was cable throttle body where as 2000+ had teh drive by wire. also youd need a new harness and other crap. think of it like this the AEB was a good old workhorse the ATW used only in 2000 had an AEB bottom with a smaller AWM head, then 2001 got eh AWM which wasent as good as teh AEB but made more power and didnt have all the AEB problems.

yes... but i do own them just i dont use them in the winter

yea so your better off just looking for an AEB. cause like he said and i said your going to need a new harness + a lot of other crap to put an ATW in there
