1.8 and 1.8t facelift timing difference
Hi
May be a silly question - is there a big difference in changing the timing belt on a 1.8 to a 1.8t. I have been searching online for a manual/vid on how to do this and can only find for 1.8t.
if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.
Have a 1.8 facelift 2001
thanks.

no - I am South African Actually. Bought it second hand stock standard. With the balance of the maintenance plan from Audi SA.....Audi is probably the most expensive and difficult car to maintain here with almost no one selling parts aside from the dealer. and basically once the maintenance plan runs off the people sell the car. I don't want to she is my precious

The timing belt procedure should be identical with the exception of disconnecting intercooler piping. It's still a 20v 1.8, so the head and block and related pulley parts, etc. will be the same. The main difference is the throtle body/intake manifold, and airbox.
