01 A4 vs EVO X
Im making this post not to start anything but to help people who want to go the elim route make a decision. I know this would've been very helpfull to me while i was making a decision as to which setup to go with because you actually have something to compare it with. And also to show what kind of power these setups can make. each race was very close, performance wise i feel that they were almost exactly the same except for the turbo lag of my A4.
My A4 mods are:
Gt2871r Elim @ 21psi
Unitronic 630cc
3 bar fpr
FMIC
TurboXS Hpbc
Custom 3" exhaust
Driver + 1 passenger
EVO X mods:
UMS tunned @ 26psi
Full 3.5" exhaust

We did 60-110, 45-100, roll-100.
1st run. From 60-110 evo spooled A LOT quicker and got the jump. I slowly pulled up but hit 110 before i could get next to him. i was right at his back bumper.
2nd run. From 45-100 the situation was the same as 60-110 with the same results.
3rd and 4th run. From about 5mph roll-100 evo got the jump again because of the quicker spool. but as soon as i spooled up i pulled up and barely passed him in 3rd gear and was a half car length ahead and pulling away ever so slightly til we hit 100. This happened twice in a row
Conclusion:
If the turbo lag of the elim was about 300rpm less im pretty sure i would've had him on the 1st and 2nd run and maybe had him by a little bit more on the 3rd and 4th runs. Each run was close enough to where how fast you shifted gears made a difference. Its nice to see that my elim set up + an extra passenger makes about as much power as a tuned evo X with full exhaust. However, IIRC tuned evo X's arent as quick as evo IX and VIII's. To be honest, the results supprised me, i thought i was going to get blown out of the water. I hope this posting helps anyone out.

Then the single turbo supra i daily. Makes about 800whp with the stock internals on pump gas

I believe you. but that car would also be in a whole different category than any a4. evo's are meant to be high performance cars

Feel free to try eating my A4 going backwards and anti-lag is for people with no launching skills. lol
