Question 00561 is this the culprit?

Made myself a smoke machine and found smoke coming out of this check valve. Brake booster line check valve. Now mine seems to have a litttle nipple that broke off. Is that suppose to connect somewhere? Cant find any loose hose around. I doubt that nipple is just meant to suck air lol. And is this the one causing me code 00561? Checked fuel trim and on the left block im getting 4.00 on idle. and if this turns out the problem can i just yank the check valve out and replace that without getting the whole hose? TIA

P.s engine is AEB and manual trans

Most likely will get the entire hose if you order new. (At least the hard hose heat shrunk to the check valve) I can look next week if you still need it and see where the vacuum hose comes from. There are some small hose nipples below in the middle of the intake. Can't see them and it's hard to reach them also.

Thank you very much for confirming. Yes please if you or anyone can chime in. I really need to find out as where that hose leads to. I think it comes off a "T" connector. I just dont know which hose because prolly the old owner just rerouted it and i could find any loose ones. TIA

It goes to the PCV system buried behind where the dipstick is and below the intake. V1 shows your broken check valve, V shows where it connects to.
