$2700 for clutch replacment!!!!!
My clutch is starting to go on my car, and I just got my first estimate for parts and labor from a local Audi shop. 11 hours of labor = $1210, Flywheel + Flywheel Bolt + Clutch Slave Cylinder + Clutch Kit = $1284, plus tax the grand total comes to $2736. If this is how much I'm going to spend to get my clutch replaced, I'm contemplating just cutting my losses and selling my car

A full Stage 1 set-up from ECSTUNING.com that includes an aluminum flywheel, s4 clutch, all hardware you could ever need for an install, and clutch slave cylinder for about $650. If you went for a stock clutch, no new flywheel, its about $400 for parts...those guys are ******* you.

Wow everything on there is over priced. Book time is 10 hrs but most shops can do it in 6 hrs. You do NOT need to replace the slave cylinder when doing a clutch install.
Find a shop that isn't charging $110/hr or that will charge you for the amount of time they actually spend doing the install instead of charging you book time which is always way more then the actual time.

I just called another shop that charges for how long it takes, not how long the book says. He was saying it would take 6 hours, and the clutch kit would be ~$400, for a total of ~$1000. At that price, I wouldn't sell the car (even though my bride to be wants me to), but I just keep waiting to get to a point where I won't have to put money into this damn car before I replace it.

I hope your going with something other then a OEM or OEM replacement if the car is making more then stock hp.
Also if they are just replacing the clutch make sure the flywheel gets resurfaced, if you dont that clutch is going to wear out really quick and you will end up doing it all over again.
