my step dad is friends with the judge and already talked to him and he says he is going to do his best to drop the speeding ticket all together!!!

haha na, i got singled out cause i got pushed over into an oncoming lane because someone didnt see me in their blind spot...
i was flowing with... then cut off/pushed over, speed up to get around at the end of that i was going 62[:@]

That's funny. I got singled out too, was even quoted by the officer that my car was the one he noticed first and thus targeted (LIDAR). They can in many states (maybe all) do direct visual observation and write you a ticket. It was one of the ways that they did it before radar guns were introduced. They take 2 known visual points and use a stop watch to time you between them. Depending on the amount of time to cross those 2 points, they can quickly determine your speed, plus or minus a couople miles an hour. In fact, it is still the only way to measure your speed from aircraft.

I read an articleabout some kids in Australia that distracted a traffic cop who had set up a van with speed camera, to take pics and give tickets, while another guy snuck around and took off one of the plates on the van. Then they put it in their car and drove through the intersection 17 times, really fast. Each time the camera took a picture of the plate and sent a ticket to the officer. Good ol' Aussies.
