The NA supra has the same engine as the Lexus Is300 and is almost identical to the 2JZ GTE......its the 2JZ GE(missing the T for turbo) you can put a single turbo on it and make it faster than a mild BPU MKIV supra.....trust me i know my **** when it comes to supras.....they are one of the best cars for modding....very easy to produce 600-700 whp on stock internals......you are right about the handeling though....i think my TT will out handle my buddies Supra but he kills me top-end.....i can beat him till we hit about 60-70mph then he gets me (2 extra cylinders come in handy)
IS 300 with a single turbo can produce great numbers too...not as good as a NA supra but close....The IS is not very aerodynamic...its like an STI or Lancer....

someone in the a4 section just droped a k24 with rsx type s head (no tsx head available) into a eg and claims 240hp and has a slip for 11's!!

Truth be told i hate everything about a honda: style, interior, etc. But i do love the engines and backing. Wish the 1.8t was just a little more like that.

 

Hahaha… I wouldn’t be so cocky krnaudi. I’ve seen this guy’s Z06 at the road race track. He blows by Lotus Elise, heavily modified Porsche 951, 911, and of course any EVO MR, or WRX. But unfortunately no Hondas….because they are smart enough not to show up.

 

For the Z06 cost im sure there are plenty of H guys that could make a very trackable car.

 

I understand your piont, but you have listened to this 16 year old kid. He does not have a lot of money to spend, knows nothing about cars, and only wants a Japanese car. That the recipe for rice. You tell me, what are the chances he will be driving a well built tuner car or a ricer? By the way, complianing that my car is expensive is a lame excuse. I paid $20,000 for it and it is in fantastic condition. You might biuld a faster Honda for that money in a striaght line, but I doubt you can on a road course. Never mind the comfort, convinience, and reliability of a Honda that modded.
