Number from 1 to 4 which is the better car. 1 being the best 4 being the worst....
choices are prelude, celica, 240sx , supra... all within the range of year 1997-2000

well the supra has the best and most reliable engine and looks the best too....but for that year 97-98 your gonna pay around 17-19k 98 was the last year good luck finding one. I almost bought a 95 for 19k black on black.....just use autotrader. Preludes are nice too. dont get a celica unless its a GT All trak they are AWD and turbo. can produce around 600hp

Umm the supra will be the most expensive, unless you find an ultra high mileage 97 which even that is rare, you will still pay around 20k+. The 97-98are rare just among themselves.

If you wanna get a supra, id aim low like 93-95 and get an n/a and a 15k price is def possible.

Otherwise id go with the prelude. Reliable, torquey (amongmost honda engines) and that body style, i believe thats the 5th gen body, is the best looking one.

ouTTie914, now dont be hattin. ^^

I say, you can't really compare a supra with those cars LOL... Unless your talking about the Celica Supra,
I'd personally get a S13 240sx and drop a RB25DET, Gotta love the sound of the RB engines....

Personally, for you, I think you should get a Prelude. Awesome car, I have had one for about 5 years with no troubles. I swapped in a JDM H22A, and its been dead reliable, and really fun to drive. Its also got most of the creature comforts you would want, power everything, AC, sunroof, etc. And its probably the one that is most in your price range.

I used to have a swapped 240SX and loved it. The turn in is super quick as it has the smallest turning radius of any 90s era car and with about 225 to 250hp it becomes a real driver's car. I traded it in for my Audi which is just much more car and with only slightly less performance and has an interior that doesn't smell like its 16 years old. I drove my buddies TT Supra and it was outstanding as far as the engine and tranny are concerned. The downsides of the supra are that it has very, very slow steering, its heavy, and is extraordinarily long. Extremely tight turns are very tricky and require quite a bit of patience. We took his Supra and my TT to an autocross event and were in the same class and I smoked him by 4.2 seconds per lap. On the highway and long sweepers though I have no chance. The Supra is a Road America car not a Laguna Seca car. Never buy the NA Supra it is a dog with weak brakes but the turbo with only an MBC, intake, intercooler, and exhaust makes a bout 400hp and really flies. At that level all but the fastest cars will fall to it.
