Default Well that sucks!... Dyno results.

Well, there was a dyno day at a shop about a hour from here today. Got there and was expecting some good results... didn't turn out that way. First of all I have never heard of a Dyno Dynamics dyno before, and I wont be dynoing at one ever again.

They got the car up, ready to go, ESP off. they start the pull, the car got to what the guy said was around 40mph and the esp or whatever starts to brake the car. They said, well lets take out the ABS fuse and it should work... try number 2, still won't work They ended up taking the car off the dyno so they could try to figure something out.

After trying some fuses and working with it, the guy said its just not going to work, he said we could just do it in FWD, so thats what we decided to do... they made the first pull, and I could tell something was not right, it was very weak sounding... and sure enough, looked at the numbers and it only pulled 182 FWHP [:'(]2nd pull stayed about the same and 3rd, it got a little hot and pulled sometiming, which made 171 FWHP. VERY dissapointed, there is no way this car is making 182 hp to the front wheels

Me and the guy I drove up with, are convinced the dyno is $hit, there was also a GTO that only made 260, which was pretty sad also. Looks like next time I'll be going back to the Mustang dyno I went to before where I pulled 211AWHP(without the FMIC and stg.2 clutch kit)

Those are mean dynos so dont be to disapointed. Also trying to dyno a haldex car is almost pointless since the power changing makes it a bitch to do and then the graph is choppy all the way through. The only way to compare numbers is by only using one dyno and within close temps of each other.

Varientstg3 just made 500whp 420Tq and Edsgti just made 672whp a couple days ago. Those are some nice numbers.

Im sure if you went back to the other dyno you would probably see another 5-10hp over that last dyno.

Isnt there a fwd dyno closer? Should be about cheaper and more available. Be much smoother and easier to dyno in just fwd. But theres that whole strain people say happens. Im sure people are fine just dynoing it that way then throwing it back to awd now and again.
