he either got it used and it was bad or he killed it due to a nonexistent tune. I dont remember who bought mine but im sorry you didnt get it.
He says he has a receipt for the turbo. None of this makes any sense to me though. How do you bomb a turbo in 4k miles?

Anyways, his handle on vortex is corradovrsick so I'd recommend not buying anything from him.

I see. Well thanks for your help man. I'm out an extra few hundred bucks. I guess it's not gonna matter that much in the end.

My roommate just had to fork out 4500 for parts and labor to get a new bottom end put in his Legacy GT. Only had 50k miles on it.

You can try making a paypal claim against him. You might be able to return it and get your money back. Worth a shot

$4500? Somehow I doubt you couldn't get a shortblock with <50k put in for less than that in a subaru.

That dude sounds like he has no idea what he's talking about with the turbo. Either way, a turbo shouldn't have more than 1mm of shaft play. Any more and it will likely start hitting the compressor housing and make a supercharger noise while destroying itself.

BTW, more fantastic news. The shop that my car is at called this evening to let me know that somebody ran into my car and did some damage to my quarter panel. Just keeps getting better and better.

When it rains it pours.
