Default Waterfest?

I was there Sat. Saw a TT that pulled 502 whp on the dyno. It was all done up with a body kit made to look all 911ish. I didn't care for the look but it sounded AWESOME.

One of the things I noticed was a lot of cars that while they had ignorant engines had trashed interiors and crummy paint, bad ground effects. I was surprised. My cars may not be the fastest but I try to keep the paint and interiors as nice as possible.

baconbit has a load of nice cars from each day in a waterfest thread in OT. Plenty of real lookers and not half assed cars

Oh yeah... the parking lots were full of real nice rides. What I was commenting on were the cars in the vendor tents. I was expecting 100 point cars figuring that you would only rep with the best possible, but it just wasn't the case.

Yeah... Erik and I were there Saturday. We drove out of Boardman at 7am and got there about 2ish after we stopped to wash my A4. It was filthy with bugs and what not. I had never been and didn't know what to expect and didn't want to show up with a nasty looking ride. I saw a few nice TTs, but more than anything I saw lots of nice B5 S4s.

There was this kid there with a B6 S4 that was covered in blue painter's tape. LOL... car looked awful. His friends said it looked nice underthe tape. He had it on the dyno. It pulled 290 whp. It just had a cat-back exhaust. Not bad... 348 bhp - 8 bhp from a cat-back. It looked comical but sounded great.

then whats the point? Trailer it and call it a day. It be cheaper to rent a trailer than tape the **** out of it.

Yeah... if someone is that paranoid about stone chips they need to get clear bra done and be done with it. I'm going to have it done to my A4 after I have the nose repainted. It's at 75k miles now, and it's showing the miles in the paint.
