Default Vertical Doors

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get this done to our audi TT doors?

I did some research and found out that when you open the doors it will have to come out first then move up... in other words its not like the doors they have on lamborghini etc.

Ive been looking at doing this to my roadster. I will make some phone calls and send out some emails to suppliers that I have come across and find out. You are right though, the door pushes out to the side then swings vertically, this way it will clear the door jams. It also provides a better seal than the "true" Lambo doors.

I dont know, if you think about it, just raising the door straight up you will hit the top of the door against the body, almost immediately. You would have to do something to allow you the clearance to miss the door jams. I hear that going out then up, you relly dont notice it, it is a pretty smooth function.

Last night on Unique Whips they did a Lambo conversion on a Vette. It looks like a pain in the a@@. You have to extend the electrical cords and do a lot of fitting inorder for the door to operate properly. All in all in took two guys 5 hours to get it done. Two guys that work everyday in a high end autoshop that is. Its certainly making me think twice about doing it my self. Oh, and the doors on the Vette opened up about 30 degrees then went up from there.

saw a used kit go on the audiworld classifieds, guy was asking $900 I think, roughly half of what it cost him new. This was on a TT. DOn't know where he got them from though
